Day 3: The Spine – Our Pillar of Strength* 🦴
I’ve been thinking lately about how it feels when things are “off.” When you try to move the way you used to—maybe it’s dancing or just walking—and you feel a tightness, a struggle you didn’t have before. It’s hard when your body doesn’t feel like “home” anymore. But today, I’m looking at the part of me that refuses to let me collapse. I’m looking at my spine. 🙏
Our spine is a masterpiece of small bones stacked perfectly to keep you upright. It protects your nervous system—the very thing that allows you to feel the world. It is the bridge between your mind and your movement. ✨
Think of the “weight” your back carries. Not just physical weight, but the weight of your worries, your move to a new place, and the distance from your loved ones. It is the foundation of every dance move and every quiet moment of rest. 💭
Sometimes, our strength isn’t about how fast we can run or how high we can jump. Sometimes, strength is simply the ability to stand tall in the middle of a struggle. Whether your back is straight and strong, or whether it feels tired and curved from the burdens of life, it is the pillar of your resilience. It holds you up even when you feel like you are losing your way. 💪
Today, take a moment to sit or stand as tall as you can. Feel the length of your back. Even if other parts of your body feel “tight” or limited, your spine is there, holding the center of who you are. I am grateful for the strength to keep standing today. I hope you can feel that support within yourself too. 🌿
