*Day 4: The Shoulders – The Bearers of Our World* 🤍

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how we reach out to the world. When my legs feel “tight” or I struggle to dance, I realize how much I rely on other parts of me to feel “whole.” Even when I am far from the people I love, my hands are the bridge. They allow me to send a message, to share a thought, and to keep my world from feeling too small. 💛

Think about the incredible design of your hands. They have 27 small bones and thousands of nerve endings that allow you to feel the difference between a rough stone and a soft piece of fabric. They are capable of both immense strength and the most delicate touch. ✨

Our hands do the “quiet work” of our lives. They prepare our food, they type the words that keep us connected to family, and they help us navigate our day. They are the primary way we interact with everything around us. 🌿

Your hands are the extension of your heart. Whether you are using them to create something beautiful, to hold someone’s hand, or simply to rest in your lap, they represent your ability to “touch” the lives of others. For those who may not have full use of their hands, the intent to reach out—through a look, a word, or a gesture—is just as powerful. Your hands remind you that you are never truly isolated as long as you can reach out in some way. 🤍

Today, look at your palms for a moment. Think of all the things they have held and all the people they have reached for. Even if other parts of your body feel “off” today, your hands are here, ready to help you connect. I am grateful for the ability to reach out to you all today. I hope you feel that
